This test helps establish the likelihood of a biological relationship when the alleged parents are not available for testing.
This at home DNA cousin test is ideal for families wishing to investigate the likelihood that individuals are cousins when the parents are not available for testing. This cousin test can be performed in the privacy of your own home using painless mouth swabs. All tests are performed in our accredited laboratory.
Only consider DNA cousin testing in situations where it is impossible to test the alleged parents
The DNA cousin test is not as powerful as a DNA paternity test and is the weakest of the kinship test types, so this test should only be considered in situations where the parents cannot be tested and no other relatives are available for testing. The paternity test will always give an absolutely conclusive result regarding paternity. Whenever the alleged father is available for testing, the paternity test is always the recommended test as it is the most powerful and conclusive test. However, in cases where the alleged father is not available for testing and there is no other option but to test cousins, the DNA cousin test can provide a statistical analysis of the probability of relationship.
