IAQ 6000 – Mold Resistant Coating
The IAQ 6000 is a professionally curated, white, mold-resistant coating that houses a fungistatic agent designed to repel mold growth on its dry exterior. Crafted to be durable, flexible, and permeable, it’s an entirely acrylic, water-based product. Recommended applications for the IAQ 6000 include surfaces like wood, plaster, wallboard, sheetrock, concrete, masonry block, primed metal, and galvanized metal.
*Resistant to mold growth on the dry coating surface only

IAQ 6000 – Mold Resistant Coating – White
The IAQ 6000 is delivered ready for use, although a sparing addition of water (up to half a pint per gallon) can be employed to achieve the desired consistency for application. It can be efficiently applied using a brush, roller, or airless spray, ensuring a generous and uniform coat. One coat of IAQ 6000 is usually sufficient to properly seal the surface, however, some porous surfaces may require a second coat for optimal sealing.
Independently tested by labs for mold resistance according to ASTMG-21 and ASTM D-3273 standards, the coating is 100% acrylic and solely resists mold on its own surface.
Please follow these precautions:
Ensure to store the product in a dry environment with temperatures between 40°F (4.5°C) and 90°F (32°C). Stir the product thoroughly before use and refrain from mixing it with other coatings, solvents, or oil-based colors. It’s important to remember that the IAQ 6000’s mold resistance only extends to the surface of the coating. No claims are made for mold resistance beyond the coating itself. The product does not offer protection against food-borne or disease-causing bacteria, viruses, or other potentially harmful organisms.
Avoid applying when air or surface temperature falls below 50°F, or when drying conditions are suboptimal, or when the surfaces exceed a 15% moisture level content. Make sure to ventilate the area well during application. When using a sprayer, protect yourself with a NIOSH approved respirator equipped with an R, P, N, or HE filter.
This product is intended for interior use only.
Surfaces to be coated must be free of dust, mildew, mold, dirt, grease, loose paint, oil, glue size, calcimine, wax, soap and other surface contamination. Clean mold stained surfaces with Advanced Peroxide Cleaner, or use an EPA registered antimicrobial disinfectant cleaner such as IAQ 2000, IAQ 2500, ShockWave or ShockWave RTU. Patch irregularities with vinyl patching paste or an appropriate patching compound. IAQ 6000 is self-priming over bare sheetrock, composition board, ceiling tile and concrete.
WALLBOARD, SHEETROCK, GYPSUM BOARD
Joint cement should be sanded smooth, but avoid abrading the paper.
Clean, then prime with IAQ 4000 rust inhibiting direct-to-metal primer.
Seal knots and stains with IAQ 5000 stain-blocking primer.
Apply one coat of IAQ 3000 block filler if a denser surface is desired.
Apply IAQ 6000 with brush, roller or airless spray equipment.
- Brush: Synthetic, nylon or polyester bristle
- Roller: Synthetic fiber 3/8” nap or longer
- Spray Settings Pressure: 2000-2800 P.S.I. Tips: .015 to .019 tips
IAQ 6000 is supplied ready to use, but can be thinned sparingly with water (up to 1/2 pint water per gallon) for proper application consistency if necessary. Apply IAQ 6000 generously and uniformly by brush, roller, or airless spray. Apply one coat of IAQ 6000 and ensure that the finished surface is properly sealed. To ensure that the finished surface is properly sealed, two-coats may be required on some porous surfaces.

Clean tools and drippings with warm soapy water before Fiberlock IAQ 6000. Dispose of all waste according to all existing local, state and federal regulations.
Store in a dry place at temperatures between 40°F (4.5°C) and 90°F. (32°C). Stir thoroughly. Do not mix with any other coatings, solvents or colors in oil. The IAQ 6000 coating is resistant to mold only on the surface of the coating. No mold resistance claim is made other than to the coating itself. The use of this product does not protect users or others against food-borne or disease-causing bacteria, viruses, germs or other disease-causing organisms. Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 50°F, or when drying conditions are poor or when surfaces are above a 15% moisture level content. Use adequate ventilation during application. When applying with a sprayer, wear a NIOSH approved respirator with any R, P, N or HE filter. For interior use only.
